Well, here's some evidence.
A booking for midweek travel, several months away --> $170 per ticket
Did this for June, July and August different dates with no change.

So, maybe next time you see some great deal on Southwest from San Jose to
Vegas you could post it so others can get to vegas cheaper too.

Several people have been complaining about airfare rates so collective we
should try to get people there as cheap as possible.

Also, what I said was that Southwest rarely includes Las Vegas as a
discounted destination from San Jose in their email updates. I check this
EVERY time they come out and have yet to see it in 6 months.

You're right they haven't had a bargain from San Jose to Las Vegas in quite a
while. When they did, I used to book 4 trips at a time &, due to their credit
policy, it didn't matter whether I took all the flights or not.

Even though I gamble enough to get airfare comped, I've switched to doing
more driving than flying due to the hassles at the airport & due to my odd
schedules.

As for getting the lowest airfares, Travelocity, Expedia, et al have a
feature where you can put in major airport pairs & get lowest fare
notifications on a weekly basis. It works on Travelocity. It never worked on
Expedia because SJC was not considered a major airport back in the early days
of Expedia. Never went back to fix my profile so it may be changed by now.

Travelocity even does Monterey (small airport) to Las Vegas for me probably
since it started ('96?)
