My educated guess is that the prize is based on how much action you've given them in recent months.
I consistently play enough each month for their "A" mailer (20K coin-in) and have also received the $10 food coupon each time, with the exception of yesterday when I received 2x pts to my amazement. My father, on the other hand, barely plays there at all and has only been getting 500 pts each swipe.
Good luck in trying to use all those coupons; I was told at the club desk that you aren't allowed to combine them.
