<<NO way Micheal Gaughn cares about the everyday operation of his casino.>>
I don't know this for sure but I always heard, from various sources
including employees, that he was a very hands-on person. >>
The fact that the operator put me through, without question, does indicate
that his office takes "crank" calls directly. What if everyone that posted
on this thread also called his personal office.
A similar experience happened to me when my mailer at the Palms was cut
off. Maybe I had won the month before or whatever? I wrote directly to George
Maloof attaching copies of my previous two years win/loss statements. I
sent the letter and copy through two sources and re-checked his office that
the correspondence was received. I also knew that the past two years were
losing ones for me at the Palms.
I came home three days later to find two(2) phone messages from George
Maloof re-instating my mailers and his personal cell phone to return his calls.
I had also heard that Michael Gaughan enjoys the reputation as the last of
the real old time gambling owners.
He placed and honored the late Benny Binion by placing his large bronze
statue at the South Point. I'm sure he won't appreciate how drastically his
"suits" lowered his rewards without notice.
Feedback to higher authority is the customer's is essential and , of
course, taking our business elsewhere.
