South Point January Promotion

There is a very good promo at South Point in January.

From Sunday through Wednesday, earn 500 same day points on slots or 2,000 same day points on video poker and you can spin the wheel on the card reader on your machine to earn points or free play. Maximum of 4 spins per day.

The points are valued between 2,500 ($7.50) up to 100,000 ($300) and the free play ranges from $5 to $100.

The wife and I played on Sunday and today (Monday):

-On both days the bonus spin kicked off at around 1,850 points on video poker.

-She got a total of $50 and $32.

-I got $77 and $40.

-The combined return for the first two days of the promo is around 6.5%.

This is a great play!

I am not following your math. If you did 8000 points over 2 days…$82/8000=1% and 117/8000=1.4%. Am I missing something?

actually you would have done 8000 each day, so cut those percents in half…

We each put around $7,500 coin-in each day. The promo kicked off at a point less than 8,000 points.

Here is what I calculated:

Mrs… Don - $82/$15,000 = 5.5%

Mr. Don - $117/$15,000 = 7.8%

Average - $199/$30,000 = 6.6%

Did I screw up with the calculations?
