You mean you don't have the Bogus Bonus 10/8/5/3/1/1 games on the east
coast?
You can play this even in Laughlin from nickels to dollars.

Well I would like to examine these new versions of "Bonus Poker" that IGT has
introduced over the last few years. As an early 1990's newbie, I was taught
to look for '8/5' in a Bonus Poker Paytable. "Fivecard" avocates looking for
the best paytables as a first step in mastering VP.
IGT uses the moniker "Bonus Poker" for some new versions. For over a decade
Bonus meant the enhanced quads of (2-3-4) was good for $50 and Aces $100
playing quarters. The full house and flush got knocked down to 8/5. If they
shorted something the full house got lowered to 7 or 6.
The horribly bad paytable of a version of Bonus Poker does have a "8/5" in
it...IGT calls it Bonus but it has 10/8/5/3/1/1 on the bottom. Sure the quads
pay like normal Bonus. It is 94.18% playing optimally. This goes right after
the rookies...it is truely a Bogus Bonus poker game.
I got tricked myself playing a new version of IGT "Bonus" a few years ago.
Main Street Station took out the coin-clunkers in their Boar Bar bartops that
used to have Jacks and the house brand Treasure Chest. I played these new TITO
games that had Bonus in them. It took me awhile to see that all quads payed
the same enhanced 30 per coin bet for quads. Looking at the vpFree info this
is good for 98.48%. A Not So Bogus Bonus game.
I have seen another version of this new fangled Bonus Poker. Quads pay 35
per coin bet. This ain't bad, at 99.66%. It is a Bountiful Bogus Bonus poker.
The vpFREE paytable listing has this as the best "Bonus" game listed.

So these 30 and 35 per coin quad games with 8/5 in the right spot must play
the same as normal Bonus 8/5 poker, right? No strategy changes.
But the Bogus Bonus game at 94.18% must have significant strategy changes
from normal Bonus to get this optimum ER. Do the new-fangled VP tutorials allow
running the 10/8/5/3/1/1 paytable playing normal Bonus 8/5 strategy? It has
to be up there playing All-American with a Jacks 9/6 strategy. Fivecard had
this at a 3.38% loss.

What is the ER of this game playing a normal Bonus strategy?
