Me: RP-cleaned out the remaining games from the top of the
escalators,
8
> VP and 8 slots, this includes the 4 FPDW slant-tops.
HS: Boy, this makes me nervous. I hope it is not a trend with the
new
owners.
I still have hope the VP (FPDW) resurfaces. The eight slot games
immediately popped up downstairs. So far, Columbia-Sussex has not
messed with the good games, promos and mailers are still strong.
Me: GN-the internet rate for rooms the River Run is $185 per night.
HS: Last year they started out at over $200/night, and all the
places
in town had inventory left over. I see they are starting out lower,
and hope to fill up the place. If you wait till the last few days,
you may pick up a deal. Me- I will not go at any price.
I think I was there right before and then right after the shootings
two years ago. The whole town is forbidden from serving anything in
glass for four days. I remember everyone had leftover plastic for
weeks. Every beer was in a 16oz plastic widemouth, just like at the
ballpark.
Me: GN-is doing a Thursday night Seafood buffet and has a new
sportbook
> area in Tarzans. They cut a path through the jungle for a new
> entrance.
HS: They had to do something. That nightclub deal was not working.
The sportbook was supposed the make it's debut last night with a
couple of Playboy centerfolds signing autographs. Tonight there is a
pajamma party with them at 9pm. A fifteen dollar cover or free if in
your PJs.
Me: EW-a great tribute band will play in Kokepellis Lounge next week
> Thurs-Sun, Hotel California.
HS: They are good. If you are in town it is worth a listen.
I hope they do some different tunes, but polished. Last time the
first set was the same as the fourth set. You can play decent VP at
the Oasis Bar and watch...a great deal. More Joe Walsh/James Gang
songs please.
