I have the Solitude ones (and have had the Bose previously) and really
enjoy it; though I haven't used them while playing VP. One nice thing
about the Solitude (not sure about Plane Quiet) is that the audio
cable is detachable... so if you just want to use them as
noise-cancelling, you can do so without the audo cable dangling around.

Yes, that is what is so nice about our Bose ones...the detachable wires. You can just wear
the phones and enjoy the quiet.
