Some low-tech ways to make your bankroll go further

This was made by WMS Gaming (Williams). The reel version added one coin per
coin bet to the bank (started at 10) every time you hit three blanks. You
collected if the "break the bank" symbol showed up on the third reel. In
Nevada at about 28 on the bank this was a no house edge game. (Varies
depending on chip version in the machine.)

Piggy Banking is just a brand of slot machine. Nothing worth knowing
unless you see a lot of coins sitting in the bank on the screen as
you pass

On a cruise ship, where I assume the odds are lower, I would hover
around this slot called Diamond Thief. The game would add 'diamonds' to
a video screen on top of the game whenever a diamond symbol appeared on
any of the reels. When the case of diamonds becomes full, you get a
minimum jackpot, plus a random bonus. Just like the name of the game, I
would swoop down there like a thief when the case was one or two
diamonds shy of being full, and play until the case filled up.
Definitely won money with that game. I must have done this seven or
eight times on the cruise.

=====================================================================

> Carol, here's an excerpt from an article I wrote for Midwest

Casino Guide about playing a Piggy Bank machine:

"As I'm walking around I spy a 25 cent Piggy Bank machine with 56

coins in the bank. Although there's not a lot of money involved, it's
always fun to try to get the bank. The way to do it is to only bet
one coin at a time until you line up the three Piggy Bank symbols
which, hopefully, will take less than 56 coins. Also, if you can get
three pigs on the line, you will get into the bonus round which could
give you a lot of extra credits to play with.

I pop in a twenty dollar bill and start playing with the eighty
credits. I play the first twenty coins or so without getting a single
credit. If I was playing three coins at a time I would already be
over 60 coins down with nothing to show for it except that mocking,
squealing pig dancing around on the screen. Man, this machine is
tight.

I continue playing coins without getting the bank until my 80 coins
are gone. This irritates me so much that I put in another $20 and
start again. "This is stupid," I say to myself, and myself answers me
back, "Yea, but it ain't the first time you've done stupid things in
casinos and it probably won't be the last time either", so I continue
to bet coins. Finally after a lot of coins played, I get the three
Piggy Bank symbols lined up and end up only losing about 45 coins.
The oinker got me this time, but it still was fun, I think."
