Some GOOD news about the new Palms system...

On the rules mailed out, Rule 4. states: "Designated machines are excluded
from earning any points."

Word has come down from on high, and this rule has been eliminated. ALL
machines will earn points, but the "better" machines will not be eligible for
any point multipliers. Stickers will be put on the machines indicating
this. Exactly WHICH machines has not yet been officially determined, but for
sure all 100% machines will have the stickers, and MAYBE the NSUDs. Those are
currently under discussion.

Revised rules are being printed.

Wow, that is good news! Let's hope the NSU and JOB are eligible for multi-points!

I wouldn't plan on it. A swipe promo next month says you can win up to a 6X multiplier. Can you imagine $10 NSUD Five Play with unlimited 1.5% Free Play? The player would only have a $3 per hand advantage, so maybe George will let it slide.

Yes, let's hope. I hope for clarity, because we have always hoped that this
machine or that machine would be eligible for point multipliers or drawing
tickets, but we have never been certain. So there is a little good news
(all machines earn points) and more doubt and uncertainty where there should
be clear rules. Are you listening, Palms???

I see my friend vegasvpplayer is not as sanguine as I.

It doesn't have to be that way. They could put a point limit on multipliers which fixes the issue.

Not really. The player advantage would still be 1.2% with a 6X multiplier on NSUD. Even if they set a small limit like 50K base points, the player advantage would still be $600. Besides they have already put marketing money into signs and advertising that there will be no point limit on multipliers.
