Overall I noticed that a lot of MG/MD machines had different
pay scales depending on what denomination you picked (higher =
better).
Viejas Tons of "full pay" VP here, although the
machines are laid out in a very disorganized fashion. I did not find
any 100%+ machines but found all the ones listed in the database. To
add to this, the VIP room has a 100 play 50c/$1 machine with 99.94%
Super Aces, NSUD, and 9/6 JOB. It also has MD MG with NSUD and 9/6
JoB at the $2/$5/$10 level I do not know the pay scales for TDB
and
SDB but these games were also there, so probably they were full pay
too (on both the 100 play and the MG MD single play machines).
Sycuan Most of the VP is crap (they have a section of all VP,
and it all sucks), but the high-limit slot room has $2/$5/$10 3/5
play JoB, and also had a $2/$5/$10 MG that had NSUD if you pick the
$10 level. The "mid-limit" blackjack pit (it says high limit,
but I believe there is a higher one) had $2/$5/$10 MG that had 9/6
JoB. The 3/5 play JoB in the high limit room is a "bar-top",
but
you are not at a bar it is a dimly lit, quiet room with a one
of
those "waterfall walls" right in front of you. And, you get
really nice, polite service (coffee comes in a porcelain mug). My
favorite place to play on the trip.
Valley View right when you walk in, there is a MG MD that has
NSUD when you pick $1 (it is a 25c/50c/$1 machine). I found $1, $2,
$5, and $10 NSUD scattered around the casino. In the high-limit slot
area, they have a MG/MD that has 9/6 JoB, but only at the $5 and $10
level.
Harrah's This place has more VP machines than anywhere else
in SoCal, and they are all horrible! The $25 JoB machine in the high-
limit area is 8/5! I did find the 15-9-4 deuces mentioned in the
database, but even that was hard to find. I spent quite a bit of
time hunting through this casino for anything 99% and up, and came up
empty. But if your game is 6/5 multiline JoB this is your
place it is everywhere.
Pechanga I found the $1 3/5 play 9/6 JoB listed in the
database, but no NSUD to be found. Comp notes they have
"hosts"
for table play, and "ambassadors" for slot play. In other
words,
don't expect your table play and slot play to be merged when
asking
for a comp. An ambassador can write a discretionary comp, but they
are very tight. Otherwise, your comps are based on points earned at
the pitiful rate of 0.05%. Discretionary comps are based on a 3 trip
average, so do not do what I did and try to get your room/meals back-
comped on a new card. At over 10k in coin-in, I got absolutely nada
taken off my bill. The first ambassador even thought my request was
ridiculous, and only the second one explained to me the details
above. It sounded like my coin-in was being divided by 3, since I
had only been there once. As always, the easier a place is to get to
in SoCal, the worse they comp.
Morongo They had newer Aristocrat $1 and $5 9/6 JoB machines in
the high-limit slot area, and a couple of $1 machines scattered
around the main floor (again, Aristocrat 9/6 JoB only). They also
had a bank of the classic IGT 25cent "Draw Poker" machines
10-12 of them, all 9/6 Jacks which were packed with locals.
The
flyer for the slot club says $20 coin-in = 1 point, with an asterisk
saying "depends on the machine". On both the $1 and $5 9/6
Jacks, you got 1 point for only $10 coin-in = 0.10%. Yippee! Two
funny things about Morongo all the employees are overweight,
some
grossly so, and as I was leaving, I saw an minivan of older adults
pulling in, the driver already wearing his slot glove. Hardcore!
Spa there is a quiet bar in the northeast corner of the casino,
with a large lounge. In there, they have bar-top multistrike MG MD,
but the only full pay is 9/6 Jacks, when you select $1 (not 25c or
50c). I think there were 2 or 3 machines like this. I found one
machine like this on the floor also (upright). After racking my
brain with the variance implications of multistrike, I realized that
it's still full pay, even if you play one line.
