Well, it looks like I'm going to get shanghaied into spending part of
Sunday at that notorious VP wasteland. Since I can't play any of their
ripoff video poker, I'll have lots of time to do a fairly thorough
scouting report to see if they've actually relented and put in anything
worth mentioning.
Don't hold your breath, though.....

Brian I agree, other than a very nice hotel (doesn't help the bottom line) the gamblers of mid Michigan don't have much too look forward too Will be interesting to see whether they have put in any decent vp.

The Soaring Eagle trip didn't happen. Deb's son may be Navy, but he's
still a 19-year-old kid. Saturday night was his first back at home
since Christmas and he really wanted to hook up with his old chums. I
think he simply overestimated his stamina, as he stayed out really,
really late with them.
Perhpas next Sunday we'll try again.

The wife and I went through the UP this past weekend and stopped at a couple of casinos on Route 2, the Kewadin casino near Manistique was as big as one small room at Greektown,
NOTHING worth playing. The machines had so many teasers and the few VP machine have so low payouts (6/5)(25-50 credits-max), almost as bad as holding a shotgun to your head.
Their Hotel up the road is boarded up and closed.
Then went to the "Island resorts and casino" at Harris, Mich, They expanded the complex but the casino was only 1/3 full when we were there, many many teasers on the slot machines The "Bad" payouts on the few VP machines were also very bad, same Multie coin in, 7/5 the best I saw.
Elected to pass on St. Ignace.
On the way back WE went to Petoskey, but that casino (Adawa) [ old Victories ] does not OPEN until JUNE 20 (tomorrow). It is located a little North from the old Victories and on the west side of 131 ( next to the shopping mall ), Looked nice ( Hotel and Casino) but don't believe the parking lot will be large enough if they put in some good machines.
Drove home and by-pasted Soaring Eagle.

Too bad you missed the Victories vp. NSUD in 25c and $. 99.2% Loose
Deuces in severa denoms. 9/7 Double Bonus. 3x points on Wednesday
seniors =.75% 3x comp points = 1.5%
Odawa opens Wednesday. Hope to check it out in a few days.
Victories was Closed and barracade was acrooss the parking with a sigh See you at ADAWA.
