Deuces wild wrote that the Soaring Eagle offer is good M W F. If you go to the website, it shows it on MWF but the rules don't state that. I would take that as MWF only.
Deuces, I don't have a mailed offer. Do I need one to get the freeplay? One other person said no but a confirmation would be nice. We are heading out tomorrow.
As for food comps at Greektown area restaurants, I agree with Marksalot. The variety of restaurants was a definite plus for Greektown. Plus, GT is the only Detroit casino that you can walk around the area and find stuff to do. Once again, GT misses the mark. I can't believe all of the restaurants that are 'temporarily not accepting comps' have had rules violations and been booted out. I think GT is trying to keep the food in house.
Greektown, here is a free assessment of your restaurants:
Alley Grille: very good but overpriced. There are much better steak houses for the money.
Buffet : very, very disappointing. Ambitious goals but it falls far short of the mark. Not even in the same league as MGM or Motor City.
Snack bar: Okay if you are using a poker comp.
Prime Rib cart: $7 is a little much for a sandwich.
I think the Casino needs the restaurants around Greektown as much as the restaurants need the Greektown casino customers. Take a lesson from New Orleans. Harrahs comps are good all over town and at some very nice restaurants. It works out great.
