so many casinos in Black Hawk!

There is some info in the vp data base for some of these casinos. However I
am not sure how often it is updated. I have found the best games at Isle of
Capri, Colorado Central Station and Ameristar. The Isle and Central
Station(same owners) seem pretty tight on their room comps. They send out a lot of room
offers during the week but seem to send out very little for Fri and Sat. It
will be interesting to see what happens once the limits go up in July and the
Ameristar opens that 28 story hotel. Fortune Valley seems to be best with
room comps and cash back but the pay tables on the different VP games isnt too
hot. Bob

Its been a while since I've been up and did a careful inventory. The last time I spot checked the Isle of Capri a few months back the machines in the inventory were all still there, but moved around. Almost all the VP machines are concentrated in the southern end of the casino. Haven't checked Ameristar in a while, but someone recently mentioned the 9/6 machine around the center bar were MIA.

I don't think we'll see any great improvement after July 1. I believe CO law still limits the max payout to 100%, so I don't expect to see FPDW or 10/7 DB. If the number of vistors goes up maybe we'll see some competition. OTOH, the casinos have been hurting, so maybe they'll see it as a chance to make some money.

Would be nice to see some decent weekend room rates. Its hard to pay more for one night in Blackhawk than several in Vegas. Hopefully the additional rooms will at least help.

The vpFREE DataBase includes all updates that had
been reported by members through 20 FEB 2009.
Since then it's no longer being updated and has been
replaced by vpFREE2.

Casino Monitor volunteers are needed for vpFREE2,
to help keep it current and accurate in the future.
