We got a sneak peak at Aliante Station this week, and we took some time to walk around and check out all the VP machines.
The news is bad, very bad.
There's not one positive expectation game to be found anywhere in the casino. In fact, 7/5 bonus poker is pretty much the rule. There are a few 8/5 bonus poker games at the ONE DOLLAR level.
There's 25-cent 7/5 bonus poker with a progressive at the bar in the Mexican restuarant, and there's one other bank of progressive VP machines, also "featuring" 7/5 BP.
There are a few gimmick games also: "Ultimate Four of a Kind," " Quick Quads," and the like.
All in all, a very limited selection that more resembles a strip casino than a locals casino. How quickly will it fail? We'll see..the casino itself is small, and without playable VP machines, it may be lonely in there.
