smoking

Are there any casinos in Las Vegas that ban smoking? We recently returned from Vancouver, Canada, where we played at a Casino that banned all smoking (I think it was called River Rock). It was amazingly wonderful not to breath the second hand poison. As it stands now, when in LV we only gamble in the very early morning hours (5am) and hardly ever gamble after 5pm. Last time we were in LV we visited the Gold Coast Casino (across the street from Palms). Maybe it was not a usual day for smoking but we could hardly breathe and our eyes burned constantly. I think people have the right to smoke (although with the medical info available today, I don't see how they can), I only wish I could walk into a smoke free casino like they have in Canada. IMHO

As of 1/1/08 all Illinois casinos are smoke-free as there is no
exemption for casinos to the new state law banning smoking in all
public buildings.

Atlantic City casino's are 75% smoke-free. Some are saying they'll go to 100% in the spring.

are casinos in Illinois and Colorado NOT indian casinos?

all public buildings in CA have to be smoke free also but the indians
don't have to follow the rules since its on tribal land and they make
their own rules......

None of Illinois' casinos are owned by Indians (to my knowledge).
