I just booked my flight to & from Rochester, Mn. as follows:

Sun, Jul 2 Depart:
Arrive: 12:40pm
10:12pm Phoenix, AZ (PHX) to
Rochester, MN (RST)
Northwest Airlines
Flight 102 / Flight 3540
Tue, Jul 4 Depart:
Arrive: 03:28pm
06:37pm Rochester, MN (RST) to
Phoenix, AZ (PHX) Northwest Airlines
Flight 3349 / Flight 105
Operated by Mesaba Airlines

I will be staying in the Rochester Marriott. Interestingly, it's next
to the Mayo Clinic (where all the country's addicts go for help).
Curious that dicky lives in that town..... The whole thing cost
$740. The worst part is I've given up flying in the death tubes, but
I don't have a choice here. So let's get this thing finalized. I'm
going on vacation for 2 weeks just before that.

Personally, I fly in and out of the Twin Cities. More ticket options
and they have shuttles that run constantly to Rochester.

In addition, the shuttle usually gets to Rochester quicker than
waiting for another flight, it removes potential bag handling
problems and takes you right downtown eliminating another taxi or
shuttle fare from the RST airport.

Wouldn't know, but the Mayo Clinic is one of the top rated places in
the country for many medical afflictions. While you're here you could
have them look at your Narcissistic Personality Disorder. You may
want to leave a little more time.

You shouldn't be surprised I choose to live in one of the top rated
places to live (Money Magazine).

The whole thing cost $740.

I just looked up the flights bewteen Phoenix and MSP and it costs
around $300 through Orbitz or Expedia. I believe a RT shuttle ticket
is around $50-60, although I haven't taken one for a few years now.
I'm sure you could rent a car for less than $50/day.

You do have a choice by flying into MSP and taking the shuttle or
renting a car. If you rented a car you could stop off at Mystic Lake
on your way and play some <98% payback machines. Right up your alley
(pun intended).

I don't need you as my travel agent. I've never taken the cheap way
out and I won't start now. I've upgraded to 1st class with points I
still have and that's the one I'm taking.

My wife decided to go so I'll expect to be invited over for dinner on
the evening of the 2nd. She wants to see how the 'other half' lives
in the land of funny talkers. She's an active engineer, so she'll
speak a little geek just to appease you. But don't expect her to have
anything in common with the missus. She has little concern for video
poker and rightfully looks down upon those afflicted with that
disease.

Just trying to help.

Inviting yourself over? Hmmmmm. Not a problem though, do you like
brats and corn on the cob?

She looks down on you? Who would have thunk?

Corn on the cob without butter sounds good. Forget the brats--I
rarely eat meat away from the home grill and esp. that type of crap.
Throw in bbq chicken & a potato salad with light mayo and now we're
talking.

It would be great to see the articulate differences, the enjoyment-of-
family & life in general differences, and the 'controlled by an
addict husband' vs. someone who's got a life of her own differences
if the two of them got together. I'd even take notes and throw dollar
bills every time I saw sweat form on the palms of her & your hands
when I mention the words 'video poker'!
