Slot Club Change at El Dorado/Legacy/CircusC

Spent New Years comped at El Dorado. For years I have been rated “President” or some such. The 2nd highest tier. When I checked in I find that my rating has been dropped all the way down to plebe level. Seems that the ratings are no longer Coin-in per visit but rather just accumulated play over previous 12 months. Great for locals but not so good for out-of-towners who only come down 2 or 3 times per year. It cast a shadow on the whole trip; like I wasn’t entitled to the Gold Room amenities nor the limo to the airport anymore.

I dropped Atlantis years ago when I was suddenly derated in like manner for the same reason. Right now, there doesn’t seem to be any reason to go back to El Dorado. They took out the 7/10 DB years ago and even the Seafood Buffet was bad.

Wondering where to go. Any $ full pay anywhere else in Reno? The 6/9 Progressive Jacks made the El Dorado playable.

Am staying at Silver in a couple weeks. Silver Legacy/El D/Circus Circus are all merged into a new “One Card” player card system. I’ve been Elite for many years at SIlver - the 2nd highest tier level. We’ll see what tier I get when I get my new card. Am expecting same benefits including limo, comped suite and decent earned comp balance accrual convertable to freePlay with $2 comp equaling $1 freePlay. I noticed a drop in my monthly freePlay offer already: from a high of $250 to today’s $60. Also my resort credit dropped from $125/month to current $40. So I’ll be on the lookout for changes, starting with if the limo shows up for me at the airport. Then my card color. Then, my bill when I checkout, if it’snot my usual $0.

As far as $1 or higher full pay in Reno, there’s plenty of NSU Deuces (99.73%: 10-4-4)at Silver and at Peppermill, with Pepps having all sorts of multi-line options. I haven’t seen any Prog meters on these games recently.
from vpFree2 database:

One-Eyed Jacks is at SIlver (99.98%)
Triple Bonus Plus is at Silver (99.80%)
Triple Dbl Bonus is at Peppermill (99.58%)

There are still many full-pay-ish games at Atlantis, which it sounds like you’ve ruled out going there.
If you look yourself thru the vpFree2 database, there’s some decent $1 games at Nugget, and other outlying casinos like Bodines, Western VIllage, Tamarack Junction. I don’t think the database stays super-current, but that’s kind of up to all of us, eh?

You don’t state if you would play these somewhat less common games. Of course, their strategy is more complex that the usual DB, NSU Deuces, & certainly JoB.

I think my main advantage in switch-over conditions is having a HOST who will give me discretionary comps if “the system” knocks me back.
Maybe that’s not part of your plan, but it sure has helped me make my ride “smooth” throughout my 12 years. That, and a diminishing bankroll overall .

The Peppermill has the 9/6 Jacks- progressive on the RF at the $1 denomination. I don’t think it has made it to the database, but the bank is located near the secondary cashier near the elevators to the hotel tower rooms. They also offer the 9/6 Jacks at the $.50 level with progressive on the RF, SF and 4 of a kind at the Cabaret lounge bartops.
