Skip, allow me to be the first to say, congratulations! Couldn't
happen to a nicer guy. You'll have to let us know how the secret
handshake goes and whether induction gets you blackballed from any

Then let us be the second to congratulate Skip on his induction into the VP Hall of Fame. Skip helped us immensely in our early days in many ways (his website, writing, and personal contact), and we certainly appreciate it!

Congratulations.

It is said that - Skip Hughes is a professional computer consultant,
writer and expert video poker player. Skip's writings are "oriented
toward the recreational rather than professional player".

That is heartening.

Skip, congratulations on a justly deserved win. You have been a pioneer in
the world of VP. We have all enjoyed your hard work and clever articles in
various publications. VP mail was a landmark in my vp experience; long
before VPFree, it introduced me to the world of advantage play. Thank you
so much for that and for your kindness and humor in the years since...

My thanks to all of you for the kind words and appreciation. And especially my thanks to John Kelly, who was the co-founder (along with Greg Brooks) of Video Poker Player, the originator of the "top 40" and my partner in the vphomepage site. John deserves this recognition as much or more than I.
