Single-coin strategies desired

One more set of questions, if you please:

When I am in Vegas in January, I've decided to play single-coin
quarter FPDW to lower the variance from full-coin nickels and stay at
the 25 cent level. In addition, I'll play some single-quarter 9/6 JOB.

First question: Does anyone have the strategy changes for single-coin
play on FPDW and 9/6 JOB?

I'll also be visiting Soaring Eagle Casino in Michigan over New
Years'. If I recall correctly, the VP offering are B-A-D, as in
Barren, Abyssmal, Dreadful, with "Illinois Deuces" at 98.91% and 8/5
JOB at 97.3% the best offerings at the quarter level.

First question: Has the inventory changed significantly?

Second question: I'm assuming single-coin play knocks the percentages
down to about 97.8% and 96.15% respectively. True?

Third question: Are there even strategies out there to play these
terrible games well? I'd guess the changes from full-coin, full-pay
strategy are rather extensive.

Honestly, at this point, I'm ready to play video BJ at 97.44%
exclusively at Soaring Eagle. It's kinda boring, but the variance is
very low.

  I'm not sure what the details are here, but generally
speaking, you don't lower variance in this fashion.** If the
nickel games are really terrible, this trick might get a better
ER.

** Actually, you do a little. If two games are identical, except
for the RF payout, the one with the lower RF has lower variance.
However, this is pretty insignificant and certainly not worth the
loss in ER.

  Of course. Who knows, maybe some casino will offer 5%
cashback and make them worthwhile, but don't hold your breath.

  Illinois deuces is somewhat different from FPDW because
the changes in the flush and full house. 8/5 JOB is not much
different than 9/6. Of course, playing that crap will melt
your brain, or at least it should.

Dave:This is where the software Frugal Video Poker would be very helpful for you. You can make a strategy chart for most any paytable, no matter how bad it is!!! The published strategy cards, which are good of course, are for the better schedules only. You could also use the Frugal Video Poker software to analyze one-coin play. Betting less money will always stretch a very small bankroll in the short term, no matter what the paytable - although the better the paytable, the better you would do in the long run.

Recently added in the "old" casino multigame machines with either 5
cent or 25 cent play. Quarter play get NSUD while nickel gets
Illinois deuces (98.98%?). I believe 9/7 DB also on quarters. New
casino by the high stakes area to the left comming from front door,
9/7 DB. Cashback is 0.167% but comps for food and rooms is 1.2%!!

By "old" casino, do you mean the slots casino across the road from
the main building, or somewhere in the main casino? What I'm asking,
since I haven't been in a year, is where are the multigame machines
that have just been added?

Old casino is the original building across the street from main
building on the east side of the road.
