Singer revisited

My opinion is that the following statement reeks of hostility:
"Discussion of the Singer system(s) on vpFREE is discouraged,
but is appropriate on FREEvpFREE...."

The dictionary definition that you cite doesn't support
your opinion. Singer isn't being treated as an enemy nor
is the FAQ antagonistic, critical or unfriendly. OTOH, the
vpFREE administrators have had a cordial relationship
with Rob Singer over the years. There's a link to his site
in the FAQ and to his GT columns in vpFREE Links. His
GT columns were carried on vpFREE before he started
including them on his site.

It is hostile to say that any discussions about something like
someone's "system of playing video poker" is not appropriate
on vpFREE.

The FAQ doesn't say that discussion of Singer's system(s) are
inappropriate, and it wouldn't necessarily be hostile if it did say
that. The FAQ says that discussions are "discouraged".

Discussions are discouraged because Singer isn't a vpFREE
member and can't personally defend his system(s), they have
already been discussed many times on FREEvpFREE (anyone
can read the discussions in the message archives), and they
have a history of being disruptive, never-ending, acrimonious
and counter-productive.

Apparently, it's okay discuss (and even disagree with each
other) about various other aspects of playing video poker.
But, not if it relates to Singer or his method.

vpFREE doesn't have a problem with the short Singer discussions
that happen from time to time. And, FYI, the post that started the
current Singer thread was from a first time poster and required
my approval before it could go through.

Yes, Frank, that's hostile (see definition below).

I use the word 'reek' because the hostility is so obvious to me.

You're seeing hostility where none exists.

And, I still do not believe that the vpFREE administrator is not
aware of widespread vehemence or hostility toward Rob Singer.

Believe what you like, but you're wrong. I'm aware of only a very few
people who are hostile to Rob Singer. Disagreement and apathy are the
widespread feelings that I've observed.

Some of this understates the reality. Singer has
recently been banned from two internet forums. One of
those was a VP forum. His presence was clearly found
to be objectionable by two sets of moderators.

The essence of Singer's VP presentation is lies: that
progressive betting is desireable in a negative
expectancy situation, and that there are programmed
"hot cycles" in Nevada machines. Nevada law makes it
absolutely clear that those cycles would be illegal.
When someone constantly shrieks lies at you, I would
expect "hostility"(or the equivalent) to result.

Additionally Singer is a bankrupt who brags about his
personal wealth, and a political reactionary of
laughable proportions. What kind of reaction would you
expect?
