Simple DDB Strategy Questions

According to the 'optimal' strategy for Double Double Bonus....

When I am dealt three aces with a kicker, do I keep only the aces? Or, do I
keep the kicker, too?

What about three other small cards (2-4) with a kicker?

Thanks.

As near as I can tell, Mr. Rich has been posting since Aug. of last year and
still does not have software that would instantly answer this question.
Heck. just two % of the $2,000.00 royal that he hit at the Freemont would
have purchased either BDPW or FVP. I'll pass on the question.

Thanks for the response, staninnv. This is an easy rule to remember! When
dealt 3 of a kind, keep no kickers in DDB and keep the kickers in TBD.

And, thanks for including TBD. I sometimes play TBD (see my JAN 2005 pic at
http://members.cox.net/vpfree/VJ.htm) and I assumed that the strategy would
be the same.

You quoted me out of context, Nidge. But, I will clarify anyway.

Back then, someone implied that I said that I should not play
using optimal strategy. I never said that I should not play using
optimal strategy. It is a no-brainer (to me) that we all should
play using optimal strategy. Hence, my comment that you quoted.
