Silvery Legacy promo & Harrahs $10 parking

latest promotion from Silver Legacy -- seems to be an expansion of their daily swipe to be more like El Dorado's pyramid?

The Mansion at Silver Legacy

Search for untold fortunes at The Mansion at Silver Legacy. Located on the East side of the casino, next to the Sports Book, this grand mansion is the old home of the Baron and Baroness Fairchild. The Mansion features the Baron's Vault filled with cash and prizes waiting to be unlocked by you!

Guests can swipe their Club Legacy card at one of the Mansion kiosks and step into the world of Fairchild's Mansion! Club Legacy members can play every two hours, up to four times daily; the more you play, the more you win!

Players will pick the room of their choice to search for hidden riches inside. Rooms include the parlor, wine cellar, game room and the library. Then choose from three spots in the room to uncover Fairchild's riches. Prizes include instant "Mansion Money", Mansion souvenir items, comps and discounts for Silver Legacy restaurants and gift shops and a chance at 30 seconds in the Baroness' Money Machine.

While in The Mansion, Club Legacy members can also try to crack the combination to the "Baron's Vault" and unlock riches inside. Guests can try once per play to lock in one of five numbers to the "Baron's Vault." Each player that locks in all five numbers wins the "Baron's Vault" progressive jackpot, which begins at $5,000 and increases $200 daily.

The Mansion's elegant, luxurious style, reflects the parlors and salons of old. The Mansion is adorned with turn of the century items such as mirrors, pictures and antiques collected by the Baron and Baroness on their trips around the world.

Also received a post from Harrah's Reno saying that free parking is now $10 when the baseball team is playing (refundable as $10 FP).
No charge to diamond or 7*.

Good move by Harrahs. On some weekend evenings WITHOUT a game in town the parking garage is frequently hanging a no occupancy tag. There are few casino-related activities more frustrating than spending 15 minutes circling a poorly designed parking garage trying to find a spot....

I was at the Legacy last weekend when "The Mansion" debuted. I believe prizes won are far from random. I am a sterling vp player, running thru $58k in 3 days of play and my prizes were 2ea keychains, a bungee cord, 2ea 1 free WOW entry, 1ea 2 free WOW entries, 1ea 30 free WOW entries, a Mansion T-shirt, and a free ace with $5 BJ bet. I spoke to a slot player who had been there most of the week in a suite (baron level I surmise, 1200 WOW tickets earned they said) and they had received several $10 cash coupons, and a $50 cash coupon.

The Baron's vault was not a guessing game. At the end of your play, your slot card number appears on the screen. Then a "random" number appears on the screen. If it matches the ones digit of your slot number the ones digit is darkened and on subsequent plays you hope the random appearing number matches the hundredths digit of your slot card number. You win the vault prize when all 6 of your slot card numbers have been randomly matched. You have to get them in sequence.
i.e. If your hundredths digit number randomly appears before you have a prior match on your ones digit number the hundredths digit remains undarkened.

Unlike the prior game, the Mansion game is open 24 hours a day. You can play up to 4 times in a 24 hour period and must wait 2 hours between plays.

FYI during the winter, the Legacy changed their airport shuttle service to once each hour instead of twice per hour. There is a sign on a pillar outside the baggage claim area that has the shuttle schedules for all the casinos. You may wish to use a shuttle for a neighboring casino if you "just missed" the shuttle for the casino in which you are staying and don't mind walking a little bit.
