Silverton

None of the Bonus Point listings (e.g., LVA, Player's Edge) have listed
Silverton for several weeks or months. Have they stopped their traditional 2-3x
points on most weekends and holidays?

I checked with the (new) Marketing Director at Silverton. Here's what he
had to say:

"Yes we changed our bonus point strategy. We're redesigning this
program and will be able to announce it within 60 days. In the meantime
we'll be doing promotions / giveaways during holiday weekends."

Regards,
Scot

It is hard not to remember when the place was BoomTown, and
a special place for locals. Great buffet, good machines and
full of people. Used to take out of town guests there and
they were always pleased. How could a place go downhill that
fast?

Has anyone chatted with anyone at the BC about the negative game change over lately? If so, what was their reply.

I assume it's probably the same as the other Coast properties. However, I'd like to hear about it.

And don't forget great country music. I fell in love with country music
while playing their machines. And they use to have terrific C&W bands there
too, and were very generous with comps for out of town visitors like me. The
coffee shop had this humongous strawberry shortcake desert for $1.99 which
was enough for 4 people.

I emailed Lisa Vios on Tuesday, informing her that I'm cutting my
2-night reservation next week to 1-night because I'd heard paytables
had been cutback.

(I'm fond enough of the place that I'll give them limited NSUD play
and hope the progressives go "positive" :).

I suggested she communicate to management that the cuts make their
machines equivalent to many that can be found elsewhere on the strip.
A consequence is that visitors such as myself, who play some long
hours in the casino, will find that other casinos are more attractive
given stronger cashback and some excellent marketing offers.

I've not heard back from her concerning my reservation change or the
suggested communication. (Maybe they remember hearing it from me
before ... via the Letters in the LVRJ?

They do still have a Strawberry Tall Cake at the Deli for $1.00. I'd say
that it's big enough for 2.
