In yesterday's mail we received a comp from the Silverton:
3days/2nights Hotel Room (Good only Jan 15 -31, 2008)
$150 in ABC credits
$25 Dining Credit (if stay is Sunday-Thursday
VIP Lounge Check in
Ask for "January Jackpot of Fun"
I've reported the bad so I feel I need to share the good. Since we just returned from a week at the Silverton (Dec 28 - Jan 2), it is doubtful we would be able to return so soon (offer good Jan 15-31, 2008).
Since my wife and I are still feeling the sting of the hurtful remarks made to us, I doubt we will ever return to the Silverton. We have learned a lot from this experience especially from posters on this thread. We knew playing video poker was not the most profitable venue for customers to play but we thought the casinos would still welcome our business. We also thought it was a challenge to do well playing video poker and the casinos would not get upset if you played it well. We bought Bob Dancer's software in hopes of rising to the challenge but as one poster mentioned it was difficult for me as a senior not to make too many mistakes after a while of playing (we had to laugh at the accuracy of this posters remarks). Why would they have the machines if they were going to discriminate against people for playing them? By the way, we lost money playing video poker anyway. As I mentioned earlier, the only reason we were ahead when we left was because my wife got very
lucky and won $1750 on a 25 cent keno bet by picking 7 out of 7 on the keno machine.
My wife and I wish the Silverton and all is customers the very best for 2008. Thank you all for your positive as well as negative comments. We have learned a lot.
Robert
