Silverton :-(

Hi, I am currently staying at the Silverton and I have to say, it
has been a big dissapointment. First, the new buffet is horrible.
We ate there for Monday lunch and most of it was tasteless plus the
service stunk! I know it was a busy day, but our server walked by us
at least 3 times with an empty tray and did not acknowledge us.
Later, my husband asked for a soda refill and the server went over
and engaged in a conversation with the hostess. Also, the chocolate
fountain is just for show and the worker dips the strawberries -
even the chocolate did not have a good taste. They did still have
strawberry shortcake, but no whipped topping.

We tried the buffet again for breakfast this morning and it was
virtually empty. We still got bad service and the food was not
nearly as good as the old All American buffet.

At $7.99 for breakfast, $8.99 for lunch, $13.99 for dinner, and
$16.99 for dinner, the buffet is far overpriced. I would suggest a
Fiesta buffet over this one anyday.

In addition, at 7 a.m. this morning, the fire alarm went off and
there was never an all clear announced. How irresponsible is that?

My advice - avoid the Silverton and their overpriced food places.

Thanks for letting me vent, Lisa

Vegas temperature must have gone even hotter at Silverton then!?
Good thing you opted to vent!
How about their coffee (cafe) shop? Any better than the buffet?
About the same?
Did the mermaid take the whipped topping? :>
