Silverton :-( (XVP)

I haven't tried the buffet, but your report is typical, though a bit
extreme. Most people just say it's nothing special, and a bit overpriced. Service is
spotty. Variety is good.

OTOH, the coffee shop has a nice variety for reasonable prices. I've gotten
several items to go, and they were all adequate or better, with most portions
on the large side. The Bay Shrimp Cocktail is huge, about half a pound of
shrimp!

Finally, the Twin Creeks steakhouse is wonderful! Great food (the King Crab
Legs are my favorite!), great service, low prices. Entrees come with
all-you-can-eat salad prepared at the table, and two side dishes. I recommend the
creamed spinach. The bill usually comes to around $50/person, and that includes
drinks, wine, and appetizers! One of the few places I would patronize even if
I had to pay real money--higher praise I cannot give!

My advice - avoid the Silverton and their overpriced food places.
