We also just returned from the Silverton over the New Year's. We were there on an NYE invite and had even
booked an extra day but because of things at the hubby's work (installing new system into computer) we had to
leave early--like on New Year's Eve day. We were not charged for the days we didn't use and in fact, when we
went in and nicely explained to a host why we had to leave she comped us the meal and other room charges and
offered us a free buffet on our next visit. We have played at the Silverton many times and have come out ahead
(I can think of one time my hubby hit a jackpot for over 3k and then hit 2 royals on the same trip) and we
were never told we were "overcomped". We also saw that long line of people, but the tell-tale sign for me was the
fact that it was a "long" line -- glad I didn't waste my time. . . . I was wondering if Robert had any previous play at
the Silverton or what??? When we started our "relationship" with the Silverton, we went and played in our usual play
habits and then waited for the offers. We have received some very nice offers for out-of-towners with not huge amounts
of play--usually quarter play and below altho we are stepping that up a bit now. We very seldom go in and ask for
extra comps or expect food to be comped etc--heck with the play comps on our cards and a couple coupons we can
cover most of our meals and not even charge them to the room! I don't think we've checked out of the Silverton and
had to pay any room charges or at the very most maybe $50 on a rare occasion. I just wanted to let others know that
not everyone is treated rudely at the Silverton or denied comps. We really enjoy our visits to the Silverton and look forward
to staying there in the future. . . .

We just returned one day early from our one week stay at the Silverton. We shortened our stay because of hurtful remarks made to us by the host. Without going into a lot of detail let it be said that we will never return to Silverton. Not only were we made to feel unwelcome by the casino host but the host informed us because we were ahead by $420 we could expect nothing in the way of discretionary comps or even a casino rate on the room (by the way, the rooms at $159 - $250 per night were pitiful). We racked up between 10K and 15K points per day. They did give us a free swipe of our player's card and the chance to win some cash. After standing in line for nearly an hour we finally were able to swipe our card and we got $2. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Thanks to those of you that warned me in advance. Next time I will listen. Robert
