Silverton Ending Video Poker Classes

I, too, read this with a great deal of sadness. Deb and I have been hunting
for a new "home" and thought we had finally found one. Between the existing
VP and the great (for us) mail offers afterwards, we thought we finally had
found what we liked.

Time to start scouting Reno, I guess.

Sounds like another fine establishment will be going the way of the
blacksmith. I've only played there twice in the past 8 months and found it a good
play. Last week I made reservation to spend a week there in early September and
sounds like I won't make it under the wire. Unfortunately the hunt will have
to begin again.

Hi Brian!

I'm saddened also. I've just established myself nicely at
Silverton, and have already received a good Sept. Offer that
includes free room, a food credit and $300 FP.

However, I am going to reserve judgement about staying there in the
future, until and unless I learn that the good pay schedules at
Silverton have actually been downgraded.

Though I tend to believe Bob's unhappy prediction, it is still
possible that the Silverton management team won't throw out "the
baby with the bathwater". They may have decided that Bob's classes
were not as profitable to the casino bottom line, as they had
expected, but that does not mean that they will not retain at least
some of the good VP that was in place last month.

Lets wait, see and hope for the best.

BTW, Reno has been tightening up also, both on comps and good
games. It is not nearly the VP Nirvana that was even one year ago.
I go to Reno several times a year, and I can confirm that things are
not the nearly as advantageous as they used to be.

Best regards,
~Babe~
