Going to the front of that line makes it a little better!
I, personally, have been writing comment cards since the opening. I liked the old buffet - you could always get a decent meal there and everybody knew your name. Their chili, fried chicken, creamed spinach and strawberry shortcake were exceptional. None of them survived the transition.
I asked a manager one time where the chili and fried chicken had gone. He said "We are called Seasons, we make the menu fit the season of the year". To which I replied that was the "silliest thing I ever heard of when people eat chili and fried chicken all year long, and strawberries are in season right now". I have found chili once since then, they have put in the strawberry shortcake, but no whipped cream. They do listen, so if you have a ligitimate bitch, write a comment card.
There are strange phenomonon - like the fried oysters that look and taste like coconut shrimp. I asked for the marinara sauce and the attendant pointed to a container. I told him that was a very thin tomato soup, not marinara. He just shrugged his shoulders.
I have also found my moods make the buffet either edible or not. Some days it is really good, service is great - other days I cannot find anything worth eating. Now, George, on the other hand, has never left there hungary! To know George is to understand.
Cheers!
Bonnie
