Can they get it right?
John has a valid point, but at the Silverton it was a matter of internal
politics and differences between the slot department and the marketing
department. (At one point I was told NOT to speak to the slot director
directly. My contact in the marketing department (who is not
particularly knowledgeable about video poker) would translate what I
wanted to the slot department.) The marketing department individual who
was at the center of this has since resigned, over issues totally
separate from the classes and the machines.
As of yesterday, FPDW exists on all 16 machines at the 5¢ and 25¢
levels, and NSU exists nowhere. KBJW does not exist on these machines.
I am now in direct communication with the slot director, who knows what
I am talking about and is willing to install the machines agreed on by
the GM. By Monday, both Triple Deuces and NSU will be added (FPDW cut
back to 8 machines at both the 5¢ and 25¢ level) and KBJW added at the
5¢ and 25¢ level (cutting back the 2PJW game which will remain on all 16
machines at the $1 level.) Also by Monday, there will be 9/6 Jacks Multi
Strike and NSU Deuces Multi Strike.
The Bob Dancer machines require $2 for every 1 point (similar to the
method at Station/Fiesta and Sam's Town) and currently free play (called
ABC at Silverton) is not playable on these machines.
Currently, Silverton management needs convincing that loosening pay
schedules will bring in more customers. Those of you who are in that
area and believe that Vegas needs more casinos with FPDW, 10/7, and 10/6
(among several other good games), should probably drop by and give the
machines some play. They are expecting the hold on the machines to be
relatively low, but need to see some impressive "coin in" for this
experiment to be considered a success.
