Silver Legacy

I'm coming up to Reno for my birthday on the 29th and am wondering what the machines look like at the Legacy. By the way have any of you used the Video Poker for Winners from Bob Dancer? Whats the real comparison from playing on the computer to playing for real in the casino. As you can tell, I'm a newby. Thanks

I'll be at the Silver Legacy July 1 for a few days.

The vp machines "look like" any other vp in most casinos.
The full-pay Joker Wild on the 2nd floor mezzanine are on a mulit-game slant -tops with nice big screens.
The full-pay Deuces Wild are on multi-game uprights, which aren't nearly as comfy as slant-tops. There are a few other banks of uprights at Silver, but most of the games listed in the database are on slant tops, except for the FP Deuces.

There is no doubt a size increase from computer to real life. I'm not a Dancer software user, I got other (cheaper) Mac-friendly stuff.
Sometimes you can't set the speed IRL (In Real Life). Sticky buttons IRL vs clean mouse clicks on computer. Font changes shouldn't affect your play.

and of course the primary difference is those $20's & $100's that go into the machine. And the ticket with a RF profit that come OUT of the machine, that turns into cash at the redemption machine.

Mark,
Are you going to be around the 3rd or 4th?? I'd like to watch the master play.

You mentioned below that font changes shouldn't affect your play. I have a
great difficulty recognizing pairs and even 2 pair on my PC-based video
poker software on games where a pair/2p aren't a paying combo (ie deuces),
but I have no trouble recognizing them in a real life casino. I always
wondered if other people had similar issues or if it was just me.

Hey Tim: Enjoy my rebuff:

YES I'll be there the eve of the 3rd.

NO, I am far below Master rating.

and

NO WAY am I interested in meeting up

for a LOT of reasons, some of which are:
I don't wear a watch and I refuse to be distracted by the annoyance of having to be somewhere at a certain time. I'm on Vacation!
I don't mind being watched for short periods. Maybe 10 minutes. It's fun to show off, but I soon feel like a monkey in a cage.
Even tho I profess to be unaware of time, I always feel like I don't have enough of it. I will be spending 8-9 hrs each day this trip playing Tournament scrabble. I have to eat dinner. Then I get to play VP all evening. I get to play VP in Reno for 5 days every 3 months or so. It ain't social time for me. Sorry. Maybe someday in the future we'll meet up, when I 'mature'.
