Silver Legacy Spa Suites

First, I'd like to thank Donald Wood for his reply about the
Eldorado. My question is about the "spa suites" at the Legacy. The
regular rooms there I consider tiny; could someone inform as to how
big their spa suites are, and any other room/suite information you can
provide. Thanks.

You can take a "360 degree Tour" of the suites and the casino at silverlegacy.com

Regular rooms are, I agree, a bit cramped- there's about 3 feet between the end of the
bed and the armoir that holds the TV and I bumped my leg every time I walked between
them last time I suffered a regular room.

There are two tiers of Suites - the regular ('deluxe') spa suite you mention are definitely
larger area than a regular room. The regular spa suites have the spa right there in there in
the living area, kinda packed in near the bed and the furniture. Maybe I'm spoiled, but the
regular spa suites are still cramped in my opinion. If you use the jacuzzi, no problem. If
not , it's wasted space.

The "superior"spa suites are very roomy - I've had the luxury of getting these my last 8 or
10 visits. A corner suite is what you should try to get if it's worth it to you to get the
space. Casino rate on the superior spa suite for me has been $108, which I pay for using
my comp account for the 4th night on of any trip.

Bottom line for me: I don't really care - I'm in the room for one hour on each side of my
6-8 hrs sleep time. Your mileage may vary. I hope you can get the room comped for 2 or
3 nights, likely needing to be Sterling or Baron to get this comp.

I did the 360 tour on their website like you suggested. I booked a
superior suite, and will simply play to enough to get it comped at the
end. Thanks for the tip about getting the corner suite; I will try to
do that.

As usual, Mark has provided great information on the accomodations
at the SL. I would add a few comments about the regular rooms,
however. Just as there are two tiers of suites, there are also
different tiers of regular rooms.

In addition to the small, cramped rooms mentioned above, there are
at least two other varieties of "regular" rooms. Some regular rooms
are very large. Almost twice as big as the small ones appear to be.
Though the amenities are identical, it's way nicer not to bump into
the furniture when making a "wee" hours trip to the bathroom! (-:

I've found these larger rooms on the 21st floor, facing Virginia
St. A word of caution; if you are a light sleeper, they can be a
bit noisy.

The next group of regular rooms, and my personal choice, are
the "VIP" regular rooms. They are about halfway between the
smallest and largest rooms, in size, but also contain a few extra
amenities, such as a small refrigerator which is kept stocked with
all manner of juices and soft drinks, which are free, of course.

I always ask for a VIP room at check-in, through the VIP Lounge. If
none is available, I ask for the very large room as a second choice.

If I'm there alone I will agree to stay in the smallest room, rather
than argue the point, but even solo, I feel cramped and constricted
in this space. And, I am a little person. I fear that a big guy
would feel claustrophobic.

To the best of my memory, the casino rate for the regular rooms
ranges from $60+ during the week to $80+ on the weekend. I am
Sterling, so the first two nights are comped w/o accessing my comp
account. The other nights I "pay" for, with stored comps from the
account.
