Hi Harry,
Thanks for you advise. It makes sense to move on and look for the best properties based on my play for my next visit.
In my day however, I have known a number of pigs that sang quite well (:

I agree that I have little if any leverage with MGM.
You think?
All I can add is that I wouldn't recommend approaching
Dancer to strong arm them in your favor ...
The point is for the Casino to set expectations and if comps are
reduced by 45% from one visit to another for MGM to provide an
explanation, rather then just say that I have been sufficiently
comped.
Yeah, right ... (and I'm earnest ... any business should strive for
consistency when dealing with their customers, and asuage their
frustration when things abruptly change.)
But you're working under an assumption that Kellogg School marketing
honchos (I'm talking Chicago, not Battle Creek
are at the helm --
rather than the bunch of "seat of my pants" management yahoos that
typically rise to the top.
Of course, judging from some promotions, I think there are a few
"prize in the box" verterans that staff the promotion functions.
I don't consider comps an entitlement and appreciate the comps I
get, however if the casino is consistent situations like this can be
avoided.I was treated like my request for an explanation and surprise that
< comps were reduced was out of line.
Any player who has made the rounds will tell you there's a natural ebb
and flow when it comes to where the sane plays lie. When an
opportunity goes into the tank, don't waste much time looking for a
way to salvage the situation. It's an exercise akin to the proverbial
"never try to teach a pig to sing ..."
The thing to do is to keep your ear to the ground, via groups such as
this and honing a decent network of similarly goaled players, and stay
abreast of where your play is best directed.
