On Saturday June 5th, at 6:10pm, Siena higher-ups came down to the floor and immediately closed the pit. They started boxing up the chips and disassembling the table games.
As of Monday June 7th, they cancelled their "We Match Coupon" promotions.
I would say they're in a death spiral...
Siena Update: Closing up!
Visited Siena today to check out the email received yesterday that stated "Bigger and better video poker including 100+ machines". The pit is indeed gone. In it's place is a few machines, 6 of which have 10 coin 5c 10/7 DB, 9/6 JOB, 8/5 Bonus, and 9/6 DDB. I played the 10/7 for a few minutes and noticed my point balance did not change. Guess they didn't hook up that part yet. ??!! Sigh.

When you say the pit is gone does that mean there are no table games anywhere, it is a "slots only" joint?
I sure hope this place doesn't go belly-up before my October trip or that's another Reno place I will not get to have seen.

Yup, no table games. Slots only and the new Sportsbook. This could be entirely different by Oct. They seem to be trying hard to stay in business. Unfortunately, they try something new every few weeks and don't really give the new ideas time to work.

I haven't been in there since they took out most of their tables. At one time they were in the process of building a lounge or something near the remaining tables - did that ever come to pass? If they'd just restore some decent vp like they used to have, I'd make a point of stopping in.
That's not the reason they took the table games out...
First, they took out the crap table, and brought in strippers (I mean "dancers"). Then they brought the crap table back and put in a "nightclub". Then they took out the "nightclub" and changed the 2nd floor to a "Loft Club". Now they took out the pit entirely.
Oh crap, I was afraid of that. I scheduled a trip next Sunday to play that. Thanks for the update anyway.

Confrming pit is gone and that match coupon promo is dead. Siena is still open for biz, to the degree anybody goes there.
