We would LOVE to stay if we can get a free room.

Our total stay in Vegas is comped for rooms at Orleans. We also have
a nice overlapped offer from the Palms.

If a reasonable level of play in a day will allow us to stay overnight
without cost, we will stay for one night. Otherwise, we will drive in
and drive out same day.

With the drive-time involved, I would prefer to stay, otherwise we
will go "home" to the Orleans. (Talking about mid-week, early-August
with gas prices north of $4.)

Expect to put $10K coin in. My wife will play $5 BJ all day. What is
the best place to get a comped room and play decent paying machines?

Thanks again.

Tom

If I had to do an 8 hour shift playing BJ I would do it at GN-L, followed by
the Pioneer. Best single deck on the river with fun experienced dealers.
Both have good cocktail service.

I stay at the Pioneer all the time, but some players don't like it. They
have a fine newbie sign-up promo going. GN-L has the best standard room on the
river.

Let's come at this from another way. What kind of VP do you like to play? I
guess you play dollar single line sometimes to get $10k of action.

As stated before $20 gets you a night in some joints, like CB/EW. Their
online calendar has rates through September.

Another thing, there is a alternative route for getting to Laughlin that I do
when doing a Vegas/Laughlin loop. You can go I-15 to California and cut over
on the Joshua Tree highway that goes through Nipton. You come out in the
middle of Searchlight right by the Nugget Casino. Something different.
