Four of us just got back from Vegas and 2 of us became quite ill.
Because there was only one time where we all ate together we were able
to identify where we were exposed and that the severe intestinal
distress began about 22 hours after exposure. If it wasn't for the
other person eating the same thing I did at the restaurant and he got
sick too within 30 minutes of my onset I would have never figured it out.
Now I come home and read about the Nasty Bug thread and am wondering
who else has had problems and for how long.
I am going to the doctor tomorrow because 1 week later and I am still
sick. When the episode started I seriously considered the Emergency
Room, the stomach pains were that intense.
Am interested to hear form others. You may respond privately if you wish.
Thanks

Sick in Vegas
The bug that was identified in the original case mentioned here
usually takes a lot longer than 22 hrs from time of exposure.
http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dpd/parasites/giardiasis/factsht_giardia.htm
But there are all kinds of bugs and different kinds of food poisoning.
One all to common kind of infection in Las Vegas is the Norovirus: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvrd/revb/gastro/norovirus-qa.htm
Please let us know where you got this one.
