Hi Gang:
Hedy and I just returned from another uneventful trip to Harrah's AC this
past weekend (boy, this game was a lot more fun in Jan. - April when we were
hitting a royal every week), but we do have news about Showboat. We have
officially renamed the casino which features the House of Blues the "House of
Rodents."
A family we are very close to stayed two nights in the Boat's Bourbon Tower
this weekend and had a very unwelcome visitor in their room --- a mouse!!
The family was watching a movie in their room Saturday night when the mom
thought she saw a shadow flash across the floor. Further investigation revealed
that, in fact, a little, furry creature had invaded their privacy. Security
was called, the room was turned upside down and the intruder was discovered
but couldn't be caught. He/she then wound up scurrying under the door to an
adjoining room.
The family was told that due to the construction next door to the Boat that
there had been other sightings in recent days. Ugh!!!
Anyway, let's hope the suits that make vital decisions at HET like pulling
DBDJ at Harrah's can now turn their attention to "building a better mouse
trap."
