Should Casinos Award Slot Points Based on Age?

1a. Should Casinos Award Slot Points Based on Age?

In today's mail I received an invitation to a show at Agua Caliente Casino.
Bonnie Raitt & Taj Mahal, plus a free room, Sept. 25, 2009.

For those of you not familiar with Southern California gaming options, I'll
simply tell you that this casino is about 20 minutes out of Palm Springs right
off Interstate 10 which runs from L.A. to Phoenix.

Show invitations are something many of you get frequently. Obviously, there was
something else in that invitation which I found of interest and a bit unusual.

In one corner, it said "Players 55 and Better (meaning older) Get 3X Points
every Tuesday and Wednesday 5:00 AM- 5:00PM".

I'm not an expert on slot club rules and awards. But I honestly can't remember
at Harrahs, MGM-Mirage, Wynn or any other place I've played that more points
could or would be earned by players of different ages.

Majestic Star Casino(s) in Indiana have a Silver Stars program for over-55, and they (OK, we) earn extra multipliers on certain days of the week (and virtually never the days I'm there). I can't recall any Harrahs properties that do this.

Well, then I guess I have a few questions.

First, does this promotion work? Do you avoid days without the multiplier if possible? Conversely, do you plan your trips around multiplier days?

Second, how does a slot card "know" your age for you to get the bonus? Seems like the computer programmers would have to put that in the system to "recognize" senior players. Or do you instead go to the slot club at the end of play and have them do a manual adjustment for the bonus?

I certainly use my Senior Advantage and as an Advantage Player only play 2x reluctantly and try get 3x with .25 slot club on $1 NSU to hit the 99.73 + .75= 1.05 ish per Jeans Advice.
Slot club swipe in is the most common, I want to know before I play how my points are multiplied.

This is not s Senior Promotion but a very succesful one for Fortune Valley in Colorado.
Promotions
2-12X Points On Saturdays in June. The Starring Roll could be you! From 2pm-10pm Saturdays, one lucky player will roll the giant dice to determine the next hourly point multiplier.
(The Giant Dice (the size of basketballs) are rolled down the stairs by the escalator on a rigged up feltish mat LOL.)

This promotion has changed my Sat. Play which used to be none without multipliers.

Is anywhere in Vegas doing something like this?

The Senior event at the WSOP is the only event I play there as I'm the aggressive punk in that bunch and there's my advantage.

The "slot card" knows your birthday, your anniversary, and how much bounce back free play you have coming, probably more.
