Shopping Spree New Years Eve Party

Judy and I each got $200 for each shopping period. Judy got an
invite to the New Years Eve Party, but I didn't. I got the Pots and
Pans, and Judy got the Cam Corder, which she was unable to pick up.
I am clearly losing interest in play, and don't feel my treatment for
my play is that good. They love Judy, and she had also gotten a GPS
earlier in the year. Daily play is obviously the key. I was talking
to a Baccarat Sachem(33rd fl entrant), and he had some short period
plays, and they cut his 33rd floor. He has had calls from many
senior personal, to offer him new extras.

The lounges are dropping in quality or staff. First they closed the
non-smoking lounge for breakfast Monday-Friday. The Staff has been
cut in the new casino lounge after they upgraded it. Drink service
has dropped, tables are left dirty, food runs out, plus obviously the
smoking.

Times are getting tougher, and my play interest is waning.

How is everyone else feeling?

Have a great day, and a great T-day. Ciao Don

Don,

As I told you, I also got the cookware, and I'm just a lowly Wolf
now. No New Year's Eve Party invite, of course.

Regarding shopping, I got $100 for each, but Lisa & I are doing an
overnight on 12/14, so I can take advantage of both coupons [one
expires on 12/14, the other starts on the 15th].

When we met on Sunday, it seemed like I just wasn't getting the
cards........we can play perfect, but if Lady Luck ain't with you, it
can be a little depressing as well as expensive. No hand pays, $1800
down for me for 6 hours of play & 130 pts. Ah, well. Last 2 trips
were both losers, but with RF in Jan. and some smaller wins, I'm
still a bit ahead for the year.

Regarding the lounges, we only went to open air lounge in Earth
[Arrowhead?] for b'fast, and I couldn't see any difference in food or
service. I haven't gone into the Wind lounge yet.

IMHO, if MS wants to keep the higher level players, they're going to
have to be a little more generous. If, OTOH, with gas prices down,
they'd rather cater to the buses & .25 & less players, the comps are
going to go down.

I'm still satisfied with what I get, but raising the bar to $140/pt
CI means that getting back to Sag isn't likely to happen with my ~12
playing days/year. However, if MS offers some more "gift days", I
might be interested in more day trips...if I like the "gifts"

Just my .02....

Regards,

Ted

I totally agree. Most importantly, the choice of good games has been dropping. We are at
the point that foxwoods now has better games (for the high limit player, $5 and up) then
MS, and if and when they have double or more points, its a better deal. Really.

FWIW, my offers (as a sacham) have been erratic and at times a joke. Right now, taken
altogether, they are reasonable: I have the 2x $200 shopping spree + 50 points and a
drawing if I show up on the 7th (kinda week, used to be 2x $600 !), this weird "getaway
treat" (150 points, 150 free play, 11/29 - 12/6), and another sachem brunch, on the 6th,
with a $350 card (best deal, esp. if I can use the getaway deal also). Putting this in
perspective, vegas strip (wynn, etc) will give me $1500 and (way) up + RFB for less play.

I think I know what they are doing-- spreading out things to get multiple visits out of
people. The casino is still crowded (relative to foxwoods) so they are doing something
right for someone, but just not me (or presumably Don). If they want my business, they
need to foremost get better games-- or make up for it with free play / points bonuses all
the time. If you feel the same tell your host-- or drop you play-- or both.

Last year they gave out IPODS for the New Years Eve party, does anyone know what they are giving out this year?

We spent our first $200 each on Monday, and got our free 50 points on Sunday. It is very difficult to spend $200 points. I bought sneakers at Puma, a box of fudge(not good, in Sky essentials with my 15% discount), and a10K dozen Pro V1s, Judy used the other 57.34 and 176 of her points and bought me a new putter(unfortunately I ordered one, so I returned the putter, but my new one is paid for). Judy spent her 200 shopping spree in Lush, and it did not appear she got much.

On Sunday we bought out Brookstones. We used a gift card(walgreens, and got 15% off non big electronics) and spent 1500. I also picked up Two Big Screen Sony 46 and 40 inch LCDs plus two blu-ray DVDs for 5700+. We were good spenders. Obviously me better than Judy. I still have 6500 points and Judy has 10K plus.

We Saw Mac the Knife on Sunday in the Cabaret, and really enjoyed it. I came out of that show feeling good, can't say that about most of the Shows.

The Casino was not that crowded, but with all the shopping, show, we never made it to the machines.

Have a great day, and ROYALS and Season's Greetings to all. Ciao Don
