" Also, a new game known as Shockwave Poker is available on the Broadway
Bar bartops by the poker room. This game is a basic 8/5 JOB with a
1000 coin payoff for a second 4OK within 10 hands of a 4OK. Anyone
know how to figure the payoff for this?"(AJ Sparks")

Jazbo gives you how you figure the pay offs in the 2 games.
(non Shockwave mode and Shockwave mode) You'd have to change paytables
in a computer program to get the different strategies
for both which will play more for 4Ok.(remember that even
though your playing like 4ok is worth around 175 in non shockwave
it still only pays 125).You have to combine both game %"s to
come up with the total game .A real rough guess would be
(98.5%- x .97.5)+( 3.3 x .025) which gives to high a return
so I missing something on the chances of getting two 4ok
within 10 hands of each other.Ill plug it into Frugal but being mathematical
challenged maybe someone on the list who plays shockwave
could give you more exact figures .Please check and see if it is a 8/5
JOB the examples he uses show shockwave paying only one
for 2 pair.Hope this helps really appreciate your report on
AJ sparks.
