I visited the Sheraton in Tunica last week and played these machines
and did really good on them. They were also running a very good
promotion during the day that I was there. If you ended up with a 4
card royal on the screen, (they called it a near-miss royal), you
turned on your change light and the attendant would come over and hand
you $10 of FREE play cash. I must have collected at least 20 of these
during my play, for an extra $200 in FREE play back. I was mostly
playing it at the .25 & .50 denom, but the guy next to me said his
wife also collects the $10 free play cash playing on the nearby nickels.
So I started out playing my normal strategy, but then was altering my
play to go for the royal with 3 cards dealt to me and throwing away a
winning pair, I know sometimes depending upon the game that is the
right strategy anyway, so I probably should have played a game like
Triple DBL, where you tend to hold all 3 to the royal cards and go for
it, and ditch the paying pair. But I think maybe using that play and
playing on nickels, would have been a much better play also.
Does any one know how often 4 to the Royal appears on your screen as a
final hand ??? It just didn't seen too hard for me to draw one more
needed card when I had 3 of them, and was always going for it, for a
40 coin win. It seemed to me that this promotion maybe should have
been "GET DEALT 4 to the royal, don't get it, and collect your free
$10…) I don't know but I sure had a fun time !

The inventory page for Sheraton Tunica is a bit out of date. Here is
the latest:
All VP is upstairs.
The 4 Non-Smoking machines no longer have 10/7 DB and 10/6 DB.
There are also now 12 new slant tops with the following games at the
25c/50c and $1 levels:
10/6/40 DDB
9/7 DB
9/6 Jacks
15/11 DW
8/5/35 Bonus
8/5 Super Aces
These machines pay 0 bonus credits but cash back for VP is still at
1.13% (88 points = $1).
