Sharkey's Casino- Gardnerville

Sharkeys is a family owned business that caters to the locals, and a
few travelers that stop along hwy 395. Gardnerville is south of Carson
City. Sharkeys is a nickel and quarter players place, and seems to be
going down hill every time I stop by. Why was I there? Well, it is only
place in the area that has some very tasty brews on tap from Tahoe
Brewing. Being a cheapskate, I put in a $20 in the bar top so I could
get the brew without paying. The game was DDB, and I hit 4 aces for 800
quarters (coin droppers). When I went to the cashier to collect my
bounty, she started counting out the money in twenties. I told her I
preferred two $100 bills, and she said that she has been told to pay in
twenties. When I questioned her about that, she said that "We only have
so many $100 bills on hand" (?) She did give me the $100 bills, but
sure enough- I noticed that there were only maybe 2 left in her drawer.
I started to wonder what would happen if I did hit a large jackpot. I
question if they had sufficient cash on hand to pay a large jackpot.

I know casinos are required to have the cash on hand to pay the
customers, but how often are they checked? Is this something to worry
about at a small casino? Anyone had a problem?

you should probably report them to gaming:
gaming.nv.gov
they probably don't have sufficient funds on site, not that unusual at
small joints, you're lucky you didn't hit a royal
