sharing total rewards card

I've read that it is best to share your total rewards card with your spouse for marketing offers etc. So what happens if my husband is using my card and he gets a Royal that requires a hand payout. Will this cause a problem since he is using my card or do I have to hop into his seat?
Thanks for any info/advice.3w

Speaking from non-Harrah's experience: My wife and I play on each
other's card as we find advantageous. We have never encountered a
problem in AC or LV in advising the attendent that we were playing on
our respective spouse's card and having the W2-G issued in the
player's name -- including those occasions where the spouse was absent
from the casino altogether.

Louisiana). I don't think it would cause problems in Nevada either.
I've just said "oops - that's my wife's card, here's mine" and no
further questions. At many casinos they don't even look at the
player's card, they are only interested in your drivers liscence. Or
(as someone already mentioned) just pull the card out of the machine
and put it in your pocket before the attendants show up.

I asked this question in an email to total rewards a few months ago.
Here is the reply I received.

"Thank you for contacting Caesars Palace. Ye, you and your wife can
play on the same account (duplicate cards); however, any offers and
promotions that you receive based on your gaming activity will only
apply to the "primary" card holder. If you are the "primary" card
holder, your wife will not be able to benefit from any offers and/or
promotions that are generated based on your combined level of play.

We hope to see you soon. Have a great day and thank you for making
Harrah's your choice in gaming entertainment."

Pulling the card will make no difference. Harrahs system (at least
here in MO) generates some sort of printout indicating the card #
that was in the machine at the time of the taxable jackpot. If you
put another card in, they'll know it.

Regarding MO gaming laws, as long as you aren't playing on another
person's card that was ENROLLED (ie, swiped at entry turnstiles),
then there is no legal issues with MO Gaming laws. Buying in, and
playing on, another person's card is where a person could get into
some sticky situations...if caught.

I've spoken to a few HET employees and, according to what I've heard,
the 'company line' is they don't really care who's card is being
played on. You're earning the points with your play, so you should
be free to earn those points for whomever you choose.

A good friend of mine here in MO, who plays MUCH more than I here in
STL (and sometimes posts here on VPF), might weigh in on this issue
as I know he's frequently had jackpots here in MO while playing on
his wife's card.

Hope this clarifies the issue for you.

Harrah's answered *a* question, but it appears (to me anyway) that they
answered the *wrong* question. It seems like they are describing what
would happen if you were playing on your spouse's card when you have a
joint account (note the references to "primary" card holder), and NOT
what would happen if you are playing on someone's card with a
completerly different account.

I suspect that this is generally true, and not just a feature of
Harrahs' system.

Last year my wife hit and after signing the w-2G she noticed that the
form showed another woman's info ... belonging to the person who had
been at the machine prior to her, per another player. (We had the
casino issued a corrected form and confirmed that Bev's play had been
properly credited to her card.)
