Sharing Good Plays - Was:Bob Dancer's CasinoGaming Column - 4 AUG 2009

the only thing I know is it sucks when someone 'consults' for the casino and the casino then pulls all the plays for the low level +ev player yet keeps the large denomination machines where the casino can really get killed

When that happens it is not as a favor to BD, the casinos that have kept loose high limit games do it because with a thin margin they can still make money on the volume and those machines also attract people playing less than full EV with a lot of money. That is pretty much the MGM MIRAGE and Wynn philosophy. The local casinos generally do the opposite and I think BD has consulted for more local places than major Strip ones, certainly not MGM MIRAGE where he is persona non grada. So there is no correlation that your are implying. Optimum quarter games are loss leaders for Station, but they can't get too hurt because of the low denoms.
