I hit two single line RF’s Wednesday and beat my record for short span between hits that was originally set in 2004, with the second hit coming about 100 hands after the first.
Yesterday, I barely had time to come down from the high of the first hit, nailing a second RF on my 44nd hand after machine reset.
The year itself is off to a smart start (a welcome one, after 4 years of meager play – partly reflecting a tougher play environment, but mostly a sustained moderately subpar streak. In the span of 6 trips (all of my play is necessarily “out of state”, the state being Georgia), I’ve nailed 5 single line RF’s and one on an abbreviated 3-play run when I was running up against the end of the casino day.
FWIW, I play relatively modest days of roughly 6000 hands lately (not much motivation to pound), and have played 16 days thus far this year. So the 6 RF hits this year have been over about 2.5 cycles of play. That’s certainly a strong run, but by no means earth shattering (at least not until put in the perspective of my last 4 years of play
Here’s to hope that this run might sustain itself through the end of April
