September vpFREE Lunch

I'll probably attend some lunches, anonymously. The
retired Administrator and Ms. vpFREE plan to continue
attending the monthly lunches.

What is going on in Las Vegas, the land of positive video poker. First
our fearless leader stated that he would no longer post his real name,
and encouraged others to do the same. Then he decided to retire, so
that a new nameless, therefore anonymous moderator could take over. Or
perhaps this is just a ruse, but I don't even live in Las Vegas, or so
I claim!

What is it about people who spends large amounts of time in casinos and
paranoia, I'm think along the lines everyone's favorite fop, Bob
Dancer...not his real name...imagine that.

I remember a conversation a couple of years ago with a casino executive. I brought up the name, Bob Dancer, and he proclaimed proudly, "Oh, did you know he plays here?"

Hmm. Interesting query. I believe Jean Scott spends a lot of time in
casinos and I believe that is her real name. I know I play in Las
Vegas casinos every day, and take notes in full view of pit
personnel, slot personnel, and any overhead cameras without fear of
any reprisals. On Sunday night, I was talking to a slot VP at Wynn
while I trounced two of their 10/6 DDB machines. The guy asked me
what I was writing down and I told him I was tracking the secondary
programs running on the games. LOL.

Seriuosly, I told the guy how happy I was that they had run the $1
DW players out of the place, and that it was nice to be able to play
so-called 100% machines on the strip in such nice surroundings. But
I also told him that these 100% machines can be some tough SOB's at
times, and he just chuckled.

As to administrator retirements, and/or stealth administration of
the site, all I can say is it's their site to do with as they choose
to. I only visit certain casinos here in Vegas and basically know
them inside and out, so I don't use most of the great info on this
site. But I enjoy reading some of the messages and seeing the photos
of Royals. It's a great diversion from the horrors of the real
world.

Perhaps it has to do something with those who spend the most time on
the casino floor of all and exhibit the greatest paranoia ...

... slot floor managers.

Hmmmmmmm..........I'm really sorry that the luncheon is taking place
2 days before I arrive! I'm betting that you have the biggest
luncheon turnout ever! Furthermore, I think that the buffet food
and normal chit-chat will remain secondary to the guessing game.
Which list member sitting at the table is our new leader?

The best of luck in remaining anonymous! With all the brilliant
minds on this board, using their intellect to ferret out the
administrator's identity, I believe this will be quite a challenge.

Whatever the denouement of this interesting mystery, I wish you the
best of luck in the days ahead.

Babe

The current administrator really didn't retire. He is just making you think he retired....

are there opportunities where bounce back makes a positive play? If yes then that is what I would do. If not then I wouldn't play. Or wait to go where play is positive. I guess I am not looking for Action" I am looking for where I have the edge. No edge, no play......

Ms.vpFREE and I thank everyone who has posted
or sent us private emails with good wishes for our
future.

We both continue to enjoy good health. We retired
from vpFREE because we were a little weary of the
daily administrative responsibilities and we were able
to hand it over to someone who shares our vpFREE
philosophy and will implement the Rules and Policies
in the same fashion that we did.

We plan to continue attending vpFREE lunches and
will actively participate as regular members of the
various vpFREE forums.

Well, it was a damned good run. You and Ms. vpFREE (AKA SWMBO) have been
judicious administrators and gracious hosts, both online and in corporeal
form. The congratulations to you, Ms vpFREE and any other knights of the
round table are well deserved. I probably owe you a royal for your efforts.
