Seattle, WA Casinos

Does anyone have an opinion about a decent casino in Seattle? Preferably
near the downtown area.

We may have a few hours between Cubs/Mariners games for some play.

Thanks for any suggestions!

I dont think there are any casinos in Seattle. At least there were none when I was there about two year's ago.
You can check the American Casino Guide to be sure.

Babe. If you are looking for VP don't waste your time. VP machines, and
slots, are electronic scratch ticket machines and are only located at Native
American casinos. No skill is involved. Search for Bill Colman's post on the
subject. Only skill involved is to not play. The nearest of these casinos
are is Muckleshoots, around 20 miles south, Tulalip, about 30 miles north or
The Point a ferry boat ride to the west. If your not a card counter the best
game you will find is a table game called Ultimate Texas Hold Em. The game
is .5% from break even, the Wizard of Odds will give you the skinny if you
are interested. Comps are meager compared to LV. CB is virtually non
existent (Red Wind 60 miles south is the only one the comes to mind) There
are small local card room casinos south and north end of city. These casinos
have card games only, primarily poker. If you like to play poker these are
casinos to play. Diamond Lil's, Great American Casino, Freddie's and Silver
Dollar to the south (about 10 miles) and Parkers to north (about 5 miles).
If you are in Seattle for a limited time I would skip the casinos and enjoy
being a tourist. Hope you bring some sun with you as its been
uncharacteristically wet, even for the Great Northwest. Have Fun.

REPLY: All VP in Washington is "Class [?]," meaning that the outcome is randomly predermined no matter how you play the hand. It's amusing to discard quads and "miraculously" redraw quads. However, that novelty wears off pretty quickly and you start to feel like you're now appearing on "The Truman Show."

The best paytables indicate 8-5 JOB. In my very limited experience, the results conform to that promise, but you really are at the mercy of the house's settings.

There's a large tribal-owned casino (Name = ??) not very north of Seattle on the primary N/S Interstate (I-5??). If you only want to take a look, that's your most convenient option.

For poker players, several Seattle suburbs have bars with ~6 table poker rooms. I can recommend those for low limit recreation.

Babe,
Forget about the casinos . You should be more concerned with your grossly underachieving Cubbies, with a manager who can't wait to bail out and a pitcher who needs a straightjacket !
