scratches/envelopes/and other promos -

"I think we would be wise to be a little more tactful in our
criticism of casino employees - criticize the message, not the messenger. I know for a fact that a lot of casino employees, including executives, monitor these forums - and it reinforces their belief (right or wrong) that advantage players are "scum." Let's prove them wrong by showing some good manners and tact - giving positive suggestions when we don't like some promotion/procedure. Giving them some good ideas to replace some of the bad ones we find - and doing it with grace and a polite manner will probably be much more successful in creating change."

If you honestly belive that casino employees monitoring this forum who think that advantage players are scum are going to be swayed by polite postings about them then you are seriously misinformed.

I think I AM well-informed - and I know from 19 years of casino experience that honey draws more flies than vineager.

If you have 19 years experience then you know the casinos are a business
always looking at ways to improve the bottom line. They have an obligation
to their stock holders to make a profit. Of course, they want to entertain
you while they remove money from your wallet and they do an excellent job.
Perhaps you should try this experiment and see what happens. During the
next couple of double point days, run $30,000 through the $1+ slot machines
instead of playing FPVP. Make a couple of caustic posts in the newsgroups
during the same period. When your mailings return or improve, go back to
$1+ DB and play only on double point days. Post only "sweet" messages and
kiss up to all the executives during that time period. I bet the posters
would be interested in knowing the results.
