Yes, acting, rwhannu. When you walk in the door in one of these slot parlors here a slot attendent is going to be on you like white on rice. The first thing out of their mouth is
"Do you belong to the slot lub?"
"No."
"Would you like to join?"
"No."
After that most of them will drop it and ask you what you would like to drink. But some are persistent in trying to get you to join the slot club. My stock answer is a don't give out my address to anyone. But if I'm in a joking mood I might say "The last thing I joined was the Army forty years ago. It broke me of the habit of joining things." If I want to look weird I'll say "I don't like it when the machine knows who I am."
I'm not giving up much here by not joining the slot clubs, maybe half percent cashback or freeplay. There is no such thing as hotel or meal comp here.
