I have never been able to get the 5X points on my first 1000 points on Nifty Fifty day's at Terrible's Casino. When I asked at the booth, they said you ONLY get the 5X points if that happens to be one of you kiosk swipes. Seniors all get 1 free swipe, then you can earn up to 4 more for every 300 points earned. Most swipes are 100 bonus points or multipliers for drawing entries. Scot, did they explain to you how the multiplier works? BTW I've played on VP machines that are not excluded from multipliers on other days. When I replied to a customer survey saying I thought this promotion was deceitful, I never got a reply.

I saw it on the marquee and then talked to the club. I will attempt to
re-verify it.

Thanks for the heads up.

Scot, your answers contain "’" instead of an
apostrophe. How are you entering the text? What
program are you using to type in your response?

I think there is a simple setting change which will
eliminate this problem.

Scot, your answer came out perfectly fine. Copied from Scot's email:

what a "P" machine is.

Scot, I have used many Google searches to find the underlying cause for my display showing the weird characters instead of the intended apostrophe. The most common explanations are that the original post (ie. yours) is entered using Microsoft Word with the option "smart quotes" selected OR a mismatch in default fonts. Changing the setting for "smart quotes" within Word is simple to solve. Resolving the font mismatch is more complicated. That is why I asked what software you use to enter your posts. By the way, Jean Scott's posts also appear with unexpected characters replacing quotes, apostrophes, etc.

I use only a web browser to read vpFree... no email program involved.

If you are reading your post with the same software you used to compose it, it should look normal to you. Try to read your posts on vpFree using a web-browser. So far I have tested IEv9 and Chrome 21.0,1138 (latest released versions) with identical results.

day in and day out for all my emails. If you're on a Mac sometimes those
people have problems with e-mails, otherwise I know of no problem. They see

Although you say "regular old Outlook" if you are using Outlook 2007/2010, then you are using Word as your email editor.

Outlook uses Word as it's editor even if you do not have Word
installed.That is probably the problem.

Gamb00ler~

I read all vpFREE posts via Gmail on Internet Explorer. And, all of Scot's
messages look perfectly fine to me.

Sounds like a Yahoo! email problem to me.

Works fine for me and apparently my e-mails look fine to Luke and others as
well? Maybe try getting yourself a hotmail or gmail account for your
e-mails? May correct yours?

Thanks for posting that link, Gamb00ler. Now, it is obvious that the
problem is definitely with your computer settings, not Scot's message.
Because, the message is perfectly fine.

I get those weird characters sometimes and I don't have
Word or Outlook on my Computer.

I use Open Office only.
